Highlights in Aug 2011!

We had our 3rd cutting of hay - we grow 100 acres of certified organic hay for our cows so they are satisfied over the Winter, when we house them in the Winter barn.  Otherwise, they are usually grazing blissfuly in our luscious pastures.  We acquired a wood processor - this machine allows us to pull up a log (as wide as 20 inches in diameter), saw it, and split all using a control panel!  This is a great addition to our lean team as the only source of heating over Winter is our wood stoves and boiler.

The milk-house renovations are ongoing in preparation for certification.
